Венесуэла укрепляет сотрудничество и единство с Беларусью

Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs Delcy Rodriguez held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus credited in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Oleg Paferov in the head office of Venezuelan Ministry for Foreign Affairs - Casa Amarilla “Antonio Jose of Sucre”.

The meeting was carried out as part of communication and diplomatic understanding mechanisms that the Ministry for Foreign Affairs carries out with representatives of the countries credited in the Homeland of Bolivar.

Cooperation between Venezuela and Belarus has been strengthened for the last years through more than 160 signed agreements, which gave start to important projects in intersecting areas, such as science and technology, education, commerce, industry, infrastructure, defense and energy, among others, which positively affect development goals of Venezuela.

The President of the Bolivarian Republic Nicolas Maduro Moros has reaffirmed bilateral relations with the Government of Minsk during his first official visit realized in July, 2013, stimulating the socio-productive development of projects in diverse sectors of the State.

In addition to this process of cooperation and integration, the Government of Belarus decided, in May, 2013, to support Venezuelan candidacies as a nonpermanent member of the UNO Security Council for the period 2015 – 2016, and as a member of the UNO Human Rights Council for the period 2015 – 2016.

Under the Presidency of Commander Hugo Chavez relations between Venezuela and Belarus reached high level of cooperation, beneficial for development of both countries. “Here we talk not only about cooperation in key points, not only strategic geopolitical bonds, but we also look for fruitful commercial exchange that starts to be developed: coffee, cocoa, agro-industrial cities which we will work out with Belarus. Our countries look for similar destinations using similar strategies and achieving beneficial agreements for their people”, added the leader of Bolivarian Revolution in October, 2010.
